Awesome Song of the Week

Hey yall! How was your weekend? We had a great, overcast weekend around these parts. And after 105 degree, face melting heat, a few days of cloudy skies have been well received. We have some fun plans for the week ahead and need some good tunes to carry us through.

This Friday Jess and I are going to see Come See My Dead Person at the Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe. The Mighty Orq will be on stage first. I had never heard of them before so over to YouTube I went. Everything Ive heard Ive really liked so Im excited to see them. Listen above and check them out. And if you are in the Galveston area come out Friday night for a great night of amazing music in a legendary location.

Carolina-Ancient Cat Society

I walk around constantly singing this song. Well really just, "all the rice in China couldn't pay for Carolina, she's the type of girl you wish you never met." It just sticks in your head. You feel bad for the poor sucker but the song makes me happy. This band is based out of Houston and is an offshoot of the local band Buxton. I doubt you can only listen to this song once. Before you know it you will be singing it all week. Have an awesome week!
